Since graduating from Falmouth University in 2015 Sophie has been an artist-in-residence with The B.L.N.T (Better Luck Next Time) Collective, at La Postiza, Murcia, Spain. The collective participated in a group exhibition Drawing A Presence at Newyln Art Gallery and The Exchange.
In 2016 Sophie was commissioned as part of the Channel 4/Arts Council project ‘Random Acts’ to direct a short film, Ice Fever, working with animation companies Arthur Cox and Aardman Animations to create a scrumptious adventure into the weird and wonderful secret world of an ice-lolly disco.
Sophie was selected by British Brand, Rixo, in Winter 2020 to be their featured artist in their new London Boutique, based in St Johns Wood. Several of Sophie’s original paintings, including A Can of Rio, Wish You Were Here and Treasure Hunt, were available to view in the store.
In the summer of 2021 Sophie participated in the #WhoseFuture campaign with Rising Arts Agency, with artists taking over billboards and posters across the city of Bristol promoting care as a resource for activism and wellbeing as a basic right. Sophie’s posters could be seen in Stokes Croft and Easton. Sophie is pictured on the left next to one of her #WhoseFuture posters in Stokes Croft.
Sophie’s work was shown at ‘Create for Wellbeing’, the debut exhibition by Create for Collab at The Island, Bristol raising money for OTR Bristol a mental health social movement by and for young people aged 11-25 living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
In 2021 Sophie relocated to St Leonards-on-sea, East Sussex, and was selected as one of the artists to participate in ‘Follow That Duck’ a Wild in Art public art event raising money for St Michaels Hospice, who provide high quality, responsive palliative care and bereavement support across Hastings and Rother.
In early 2023 Sophie moved her studio practise into The Old Ambulance Station, Bexhill. A community focussed creative space for local artists and creatives.
